IE & Planning is the name of a department. This department is working very successfully in the readymade garment industry of Bangladesh. The main goal of this department is to ensure maximum production by reducing factory wastage and using resources properly. I have been working with this department for eight years as a textile engineer. When garments manufacturers had faced a threat of global competition, other manufacturers producing products at a lower cost; the garments industry started to set industrial engineering to produce more goods at a lower cost. Industrial engineering works to produce maximum output by limited minimum resources and every action take calculate what adds value to the product. The main goal of this channel is to show how this department works in general.
